Amy update:
Amy is actually being nice to me for some odd reason. I still hate her though because she will probably end up hating me again. I really thinks she should get fired because her work ethics suck!

Anyways Wegmans decided that they were going to start being really strict on following rules. I absolutely hate rules that really aren’t needed and are pointless. I can never follow all of them I mean there is always something I am doing wrong.
Here are some of the new rules:
1. Always make sure your shirt is tucked in.
2. Your name tag must be on the left side of your shirt at all times. Not on your hat.
3. You can’t put keep the knives in sanitizer, they must be kept in a seperate container and then you dip them in the sanitizer.
4. Your apron must be clean at all times.
5. You must cut the sub in a black container that makes the slices even because it’s dangerous to cut the subs without when all we use is butter knives.
6. If you don’t use the boards then you have to use a cutting glove.
The two rules that bother me the most are 5 and 6. It takes so much longer to make a sub and blus the cutting containers are disgusting. Also food saftey isn’t good because you are cutting tuna subs with turkey subs with veggie and cheese subs. There is so much cross contamination. If any customer is allergic to seafood or anything, there is a very good chance there is going to be a reaction.
Me and my friend Amanda came up with a not so brilliant idea, to write a customer comment and complain. We did this because the only people Wegmans listens to is the customers. Well some how they kind of found out it was us. So basically we just screwed ourselves over. Now we have to use a seperate container for just tuna and it takes even longer. We were trying to eliminate the containers or just come up with a better idea then the container. Not just make things harder for us.
Wegmans seriously doesn’t consider any employee ideas for what to do. They favor customers over us in most if not all situations and its rediculous. Employees should be better heard and there thougts should be considered because we are also customers.
I really want to quit because I didn’t apply for the scholarship and I really have no reason to stay. They don’t even pay that good. Plus a whole bunch of other people quit so its just not the same. I hate working there and it just keeps getting worse.
We just got a new boss too. She is okay but I miss Beth. Beth was so easy to talk to and it wasn’t awkward, but Kim it’s just always awkward and weird. I mean it’s just uncomfortable to work with her. She is a nice person and everything. I don’t know….
