Today in french class we were learning about marriage in France. Apparently nobody gets married over in France, or at least it is uncommon. The article talked about how people move in together and have long term relationships before they get married. Sometimes they even have kids. It’s not that they object to marriage, they just don’t see the point in marriage because they think that being married doesn’t add or take away anything to their relationship. However they do have a Pac. It’s an agreement for people past boyfriend and girlfriend, but don’t want to be married. It still allows them to have rights together without being married. Also homosexual people can use this contract if it isn’t legal for them to marry.
I think we should have a Pac agreement in the United States too. That way homosexual people could still have rights and religious people could be happy too because they aren’t married.
Personally I don’t want to get married and even if I did I would just want to go to a court house and get it done and over with. I don’t want to be single for the rest of my life. I don’t mind being with one person I just don’t see the point in getting married. i mean what is the point in spending a ton of money on a wedding when there is a really good chance of getting divorced. It is a waste of money. I would rather take that money and go on a really nice vacation.
That is just my feelings towards marriage. My parents got divorced and I seen how it ruined them financially and emotionally and what it did to me and my sister. If you don’t get married you can’t get divorced and it would be a lot cheaper if you separated. I really agreed with the article and wish the U.S. could be more like France.
I support gay marriage. You can’t stop 2 people form loving eachother. And people are born that way they can’t help it. For example, those that have gradtuated form west. I knews ome and they came out this year or last. People were like,”I can’t believe it!” I don’t knowwww sometimes it easy to tell.

I never knew that French people don’t often get married, so it was interesting to read your post. I think that a person’s personal relationship should be left up to the individual. I don’t know why people think they need to spend a lot of money on a wedding. That’s no guarantee to a long marriage. I think that it is phony.
